The theme of the night game was Bat for a Cure, helping to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and fundraiser and to promote the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk which is coming up on October 30. I was there volunteering with the American Cancer Society and Making Strides team.
I helped talk about the walk and pass info about how to get involved. It was fun to watch the game and raise awareness.
We got off to a late start (game delay) due to the windy monsoon, but it soon passed and we got to work and played ball.
I was also able to bring my family along, and they watched the baseball game while I worked for Bat For The Cure.
Pictured are Leah Williams (blonde) event coordinator and lady Terri Tutt (brunette), West division Coordinator for the America Cancer Society.
Mascot pictured is the Tucson Padres Mascot "Father Kino Bambino."
